Short excerpt from Bragonier’s artist statement:
“I like to think of the three-dimensional work on view here as 3D sketches. In some cases, the sketches are tight, while other sketches are loose and include artistic liberties. No matter the temperament and direction of the piece, the sequence for fabrication requires a degree of methodical pre-planning. In welcome contrast, creating the monotype prints allowed me to approach the work more spontaneously.”
